Micabren
Acres is owned by Michael A. Feist and Dr. Brenda L. Weierke. The name
Micabren is formed by combining the names MIChael
and BRENda. Michael
comes from a farming and ranching background and Brenda had her first
pony at the age of three. Michael's love of animals and Brenda's love
of horses merged in 1999 with the purchase of their first Appaloosa.
They
started showing at a National level in 2001 and have earned a total
of 5 National and World Champion and Reserve
Champion titles, and numerous
Top Five and Top Ten finishes at
the National and World level. The goal of Micabren Acres is to be one
of the top Appaloosa Breeders in
the country, and consistently strives to achieve this by selective
breeding and purchasing of high quality Appaloosa horses.
The present facility was purchased in 2001 after outgrowing their previous
place in southern Minnesota. Raising and showing horses is truly a
family activity. Cullen, age 4 made his debut in Leadline at the World
Youth Show in 2005 and Ethan age 2 is not far behind. Both boys are
big helpers in the barn and love being around the horses.
